If you haven’t seen it yet, and don’t mind a big reveal, the awesome shot below…wait, don’t scroll down yet…shows The Goblin (Dane DeHaan) and Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) duking it out. This awesome, yet surprisingly candid look at the action in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 may have just spoiled some of the mystery. Yet we all know DeHaan’s character Harry Osborn would eventually become The Goblin so it is what it is. Plus we don’t think the studio would let this good of a shot out in the open if there wasn’t a lot more good stuff coming down the pike. So far everything that’s recently come out of the Sony…

Ohhh, Look…‘Amazing Spider-Man 2′ Stills, Sony Goes Green and Spidey Named First Superhero Ambassador for EARTH HOUR
If you thought too many cooks in the kitchen spoiled the soup in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 then what do you say to half a dozen baddies? That’s right web-heads…Spider-Man will likely be facing the wrath of the legendary, but re-imagined and transitional Sinister Six. Electro, Rhino and some form of the Goblin we know/think will be testing Parker’s mettle but the trailers hint at Vulture, Doc Ock and don’t forget about Dr. Conners who is still in prison. The carnage (we wish he was in this) that awaits Peter is setting up a pretty bold story line. Not only is he facing multiple foes in his second at bat but…

Ohhh Look…'300: Rise of an Empire' Featurette Showcases Characters and Explains Story
For all you action hounds awaiting a second course of Spartan glory, that time is almost at hand. To whet your appetites, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have released a tasty featurette for the Noam Murro directed 300: Rise of an Empire. The last trailer to come down the pike gave us a good idea of what to expect, story-wise, but this goes even further. It’s roughly the kind of surface level but in-depth feature you’ll find on the Blu Ray but oh well. Have a look as Murro and co., even Zack Snyder help connect the dots to the adrenaline fueled 2006 dance of death, better known as 300. Enjoy…

Ohhh, Look…Full History of 'The Grand Budapest Hotel'
Well it ain’t the Happiness Hotel but Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel looks to be the type of quirky environment to house each and every offbeat character his wacky mind can create. In keeping with his unique vision Fox Searchlight created this awesome and in-depth viral website for the film under the guise of a museum called the “Zubrowka Akademie Historic Library“. In it lies a veritable history lesson of events surrounding and concerning the giant pink mountain oasis. Click over to AkademieZubrowka.com to learn more about the history of the area and stories behind these vintage (but fake) trinkets and souvenirs from the hotel as well as its most famous (but still fake) guests……

Ohhh, Look…Images and Poster for Elijah Wood’s 'Cooties'
Let’s have a round of applause for Elijah Wood. He could have ridden out his Lord of the Rings fame and lived a healthy retired life on the paychecks/royalties from Peter Jackson’s massive adaptions…but he didn’t. Taking post Middle-Earth films like Green Street Hooligans (which is quite good – check it out), horror/thriller flicks like the remake of Maniac, absurd but successful TV projects like Wilfred, risky and against-type films like Grand Piano and Nacho Vigalondo’s Open Windows and this little late night flick are all shaping him to be a fine adult actor. Now the man’s everywhere and you’ll hear no complaints from us. So whether or not you’re heading to…

Ohhh, Look…The Simpsons' Tribute to Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli
They say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery and by that token Hayao Miyazaki (and his little animation house Studio Ghibli) must be chuckling at the cleverly placed Ghibli-themed elements in this weekend’s episode of The Simpsons (where Comic Book Guy gets married to a Japanese girl). In this segment of ‘Married to the Blob’ Homer’s drunken night on the town with CBG’s future father-in-law starts to wear on them when the snake wine they drank begins to transform Springfield into a cornucopia of references to numerous classic movies in the famous Ghibli library. If you’re a fan of all things Miyazaki, you have to see this…

Ohhh, Look…Three 'Saving Mr. Banks' Featurettes
When Walt Disney’s daughters begged him to make a movie of their favorite book, P.L. Travers’ “Mary Poppins,” he made them a promise – one that he didn’t realize would take 20 years to keep. In his quest to obtain the rights, Walt faced the curmudgeonly, uncompromising writer who had absolutely no intention of letting her beloved magical nanny get mauled by the Hollywood machine. But, as the books stopped selling and money grew short, Travers reluctantly agreed to go to Los Angeles to hear Disney’s plans for the adaptation. For two short weeks in 1961, Walt Disney pulled out all the stops. Armed with imaginative storyboards and chirpy songs…

Ohhh, Look…Fake Trailer for 'Machete Kills Again…In Space!'
All of you Danny Trejo fans know that “Machete don’t text” and “Machete don’t tweet” but Machete, like James Bond, will always return…we hope at least. Those of you brave souls and die-hard Robert Rodriguez fans who supported everyone’s favorite machete brandishing vigilante already know the absurdity in the video below. Those of you who missed out really missed out – this has to be seen on the big screen – as Rodriguez takes insane to a whole new level. This the fake trailer for the sequel to Machete Kills that played…wait for it…before the film even started. Now how’s that for funny? Sit back, and prepare to laugh, a…

Ohhh, Look…Infographic: Famous British Cars from Film and Telly
The most endearing component in some classic films and TV shows (be they good, bad or terribly cheesy) can often times be the most unsung – the car. In fact, sometimes it’s that 4-wheeled character that is most talked about after the credits have rolled. With time, luck and a hefty fan-base, it can even become more iconic than the film/show in which it exists. Sure we all know the usual suspects – Michael Knight’s talking car, the Ghostbusters’ Ecto-1, Doc Brown’s time-travelling DeLorean, and the Corvette-inspired Batmobile that turned heads (well not Batman’s) in Tim Burton’s 1989 mega-hit – so this post will instead take a look at those…

Ohhh, Look…New Images From Studio Ghibli's 'The Tale of Princess Kaguya'
Last time we looked in on the legendary Studio Ghibli we were thrilled to hear of not one but two films on the horizon. The first was the Miyazaki directed WWII themed film The Wind Rises which was released in July in Japan. Next up is the Isao Takahata directed feature The Tale of Princess Kaguya which will recount the 10th century Japanese folktale Taketori Monogatari (The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter). Kaguya has an unannounced Japanese release date for later this Fall. Here’s the synopsis: An old man makes a living by selling bamboo. One day, he finds a princess in a bamboo. The princess is only the size of a finger. Her name is Kaguya.…
