Ohhh Look…Iron Legion Seen On New 'Iron Man 3' Poster

They say you can’t keep a good [iron] man down. He’s beaten Obadiah Stane, kicked the “demon in the bottle” and even Whiplash. So for the upcoming third installment in Marvel’ s (and Disney’s) Iron Man franchise Robert Downey Jr. is back and he’s brought some friends. Over the years we’ve seen Tony Stark grow from a one many army to enlisting some help in the form of Lt. Col. James Rhodes, and in The Avengers it was, well, The Avengers. In this film he’s going up against The Mandarin (played by Ben Kingsley) and Aldrich Killian (played by Guy Pearce), and he’s gonna need all the help he can get. That help comes…

    Sweet Trailer…'Iron Man 3'

Well, we all knew this was coming, so let’s skip the preamble shall we? For my part, I’m tempering my reaction to this footage with caution. I’ve been burned before by great Iron Man trailers that failed to live up to their promise. Frankly, I don’t want to be in that position again, and so I’m taking the wary path. That said, there’s a lot in here that has piqued my curiosity and interest– namely Ben Kingsley’s voice and appearance as the Mandarin, and also the hint that he’ll actually represent such a real threat to Tony that the film will actually have stakes and tension. And of course there’s…

    G-S-T Review…The Avengers

After leaving The Avengers, the first thought likely to come to mind is wow, wow and more WOW. That’s right comic friends, Joss Whedon isn’t joking around with this one. He delivers the comic book experience fans have been anticipating since Stan Lee co-created these iconic heroes decades ago. In what is the most ambitious and large scale comic film to date, there is no shortage of spectacle, excitement and near-epic story all rolled into one 142 minute feature. Whedon is known for being a fan boy at heart and as such delivers this film with such respect to not only the comics but also, and maybe more importantly, the fans. Nothing…

Sweet Trailer…'The Avengers' Super Bowl TV Spot

The Avengers has been a long time coming with 6, count em, 6 films (4 origin stories, 1 sequel and 1 reboot) leading up to Joss Whedon’s highly  anticipated ensemble action flick. Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Iron Man and Hulk are all that stands between Loki and the certain annihilation of Earth. Sure he’s got an army but we have…well, you’ll see! Have a look at the full Super Bowl TV Spot for The Avengers… Admittedly this is little more than what we’ve seen in the teaser. I mean we still don’t even know who The Avengers are fighting. But is that a problem? If you ask me, I say not one bit. Sure is…

    G-S-T Review…Sherlock Homes: A Game of Shadows

Editor’s Note: Go,See,Talk presents this review of Sherlock Homes: A Game of Shadows as the debut entry from our guest contributing writer Bill Graham. He’s going to be making some more appearances on G-S-T in the next few weeks so have a look at what he had to say about the sequel to Guy Ritchie’s 2009 blockbuster and offer your thoughts below. As a movie-goer, I value my time. So often the inflated budgets of the modern blockbuster results in an obese runtime that attempts to show off as much of that cost as it can. At times it feels like the length of the film is, for better or worse, directly related…

    Sweet (Teaser) Trailer…'The Avengers'

Oh boy comic fans, today is a very special day. The teaser for Joss Whedon’s The Avengers just hit the web and it’s got fan boys (and girls) excited for what is probably the largest superhero movie ever created. Assembling the members one by one in semi-interweaving origin stories Marvel (and now Disney) has taken one helluva chance on the success of this ensemble film. I have a feeling that it’ll be awesome but you probably don’t need me to tell you that right? So until we get a full trailer, another and the endless TV spots, have a look at what Whedon will be bringing us next May. Man, I know…

    Ohhh, Look…Gorgeous "Avengers Assemble" Posters

Captain America took home the box office gold this weekend (to the tune of $65.8M) and tons of positive reviews. As Steve Rogers is the final Avenger to get his big screen debut (in the Joss Whedonverse that is, we’re going to forget about that other early 90’s Cap flick) we finally have all the pieces in place for next year’s Avengers film. While the idea of a full scale Avengers film was a huge endeavor/risk, Marvel certainly did it right establishing the characters on their own as opposed to a convoluted introduction which would bog down their big budget film from the get go. The road leading up to…

Sweet Trailer…'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows'

On Sunday Yahoo has released the first two official posters for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and now we get a full on trailer! This sequel features the return of Robert Downey Jr. as the titular deducing detective and Jude Law as John Watson who really were superb in their respective roles (despite Downey’s spotty accent). But new to this series are the additions of Jared Harris as Professor Moriaty and Noomi Rapace as Sim. Well, enough about that, let’s get to the trailer… Guy Ritchie (Snatch, Rocknrolla) is back directing the sequel to the 2009 hit about quick witted super sleuth Sherlock Holmes. For those of you who…

    G-S-T Review…Due Date

Being ever so much funnier and engaging than the trailers implied, Due Date, Todd Phillips‘s second road trip movie, proves that he has more up his sleeve than Frank the Tank and a “one man wolf pack“. Personally speaking I really didn’t know what I was in store for aside from his hilarious but brief resume which goes back to 2000’s Road Trip. Call me a less than sophisticated film enthusiast but I’ll take a good laugh riot over a perfect story most days of the week. That said, going into Due Date, did anyone expect the latter from a film that is supposed to the the former? A road trip is a road…
