Sweet TV Spot…'The Hunger Games'
This awesome 60 second TV spot for The Hunger Games has debuted and man does it get the job done. I’m oddly more excited for this than The Avengers. Wow, talk about a way to end the week…until Prometheus hits tomorrow that is. Anyway, this trailer gives us the most footage of that lavishly cold world we’ve seen yet. No more words…just watch (fyi, headphones are highly encouraged). So far The Hunger Games is getting GREAT word of mouth buzz and the early reviews are sporting pretty high praise. Older Disney Titles Coming to Blu-Ray In 2012
Blu-Ray fans have I got some news for you. Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will release more than 30 catalog titles for the first time on Blu-ray Disc in 2012 the studio announced March 16, with some titles celebrating 10th, 15th and 20th anniversaries. Dallas IFF Announces Full Schedule for 2012 Festival
The Dallas International Film Festival, presented by Boardwalk Auto Group Volkswagen Dealers, announced today that the past president and CEO of United Artists and Orion Pictures respectively, Eric Pleskow, will be honored for his lifetime achievements in the film industry at the Dallas Film Society Honors on April 20. Also revealed is the full schedule of features and shorts that will be screened through the Festival’s 11-day run (April 12 – 22, 2012). Ohhh Look…'Snow White & The Huntsman' Featurettes/New Footage
Next week we’ll be treated to the first full trailer for the upcoming film Snow White & The Huntsman. While we wait for that to drop, feast your eyes on the following four featurettes (sorry all of them have unskippable ads). These videos have lead ins from the stars of the film are cover all things from set design to costumes to the characters of this dark and gritty take on the famous story. One thing I wish they might have touched on is the musical score. Was what we heard in the teaser really James Newton Howard’s score or was the TRON/Inception inspired track just a placeholder? Hasbro must be pleased as punch to see their toy lines expanded and adapted to the silver screen.
