Sweet (4 Minute) Trailer…'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'

Earlier this year the red band trailer for the remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo hit the web. It surprised most everyone and received quite a lot of praise (even so far as to inspire a brilliant parody trailer). As it’s one of our most anticipated films this Winter we at G-S-T decided to ignore anything and everything TGwtDT, taking a firm stance to severely stay in the dark until its release. Now I had heard about the 8 minute trailer and as such chose to ignore it. Buuuut at the screening of Moneyball on Tuesday (review up Friday), the film was headed by the same 8 minute trailer I was hoping…

    Sweet (and Spooky) Trailer…'The Awakening'

These days you just don’t get a good looking and eerie old school ghost story. Bu those up for a scare, The Awakening, from the look of it, is more in line with Del Toro’s The Orphanage (or even The Devil’s Backbone) as opposed to the shock and awesome found in something like Insidious. That said, I’m totally on board with the slow boat approach and I’m sort of getting a The Shining vibe but maybe that’s just me. So turn down the lights, turn up the sound and have a look at the trailer thanks to the heads up from First Showing.net. Rebecca Hall plays the story’s skeptical “ghost hunter’ who has a pension for…

Trailer…'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I'

Not long ago we posted the very first teaser for the final film in the Twilight Saga (well Part I anyway). As Mrs. Go,See,Talk is a rabid fan (still short of being a Twi-hard though) this is really for her. Hmm, between Edward and Elvis she seems to have this strange fascination with dead guys…Anyway, for your brooding enjoyment here is the official trailer for The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn – Part I:   Past the first film (which I was surprised it wasn’t the total nose dive I was expecting) the series for me had been about as cold as the Cullens themselves. But as I’ve been told the…

    Sweet Trailer…'Margaret'

Fox Searchlight has released the first trailer for the very dramatic film Margaret and it’s a doozy to say the least. Telling the story of a girl who has witnessed a bus accident, she becomes caught up in the aftermath where the question of whether or not it was intentional affects many people’s lives. For only a 2:17 runtime, this trailer is like a sure-shot punch to your emotions. Sporting an impressive cast for an indie film Anna Paquin stars alongside Mark Ruffalo, Matt Damon and many more, you’ll be surprised just who pops ups in this tearjerker. Have a look for yourself… Well I certainly didn’t see this coming but it’s on my radar now. Written…

    Sweet Trailer…'The Way'

While one “winning” Sheen/Estevez sibling is making tabloid headlines that make Gary Busey look normal it’s great to know the other half of the paternal pair is on the right path. Who is that you ask? None other than Billy the Kid himself Emilio Estevez. Emilio has been rather quiet in the last decade or so only popping up to turn a lot of heads with his film Bobby (a quasi historical account of the events surrounding the Bobby Kennedy assassination). Needless to say I’ve been waiting to see more from him as he’s got some untapped talent. So have a look at the trailer for his latest film The Way in…

Sweet Trailer…'A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas'

Seems that stoner buddy flicks will never die…and you won’t hear any complaints from me. I’m not going to lie, I’m a fan of Harold and Kumar as there’s something charming beneath the crass and insane misadventures in their first two films. Penn and Cho have good chemistry which really makes the jokes work and while I wasn’t partial to the second film the original holds a special place in my heart. So for those of you who enjoy the high times and low moral fiber, I present the trailer to A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas.   The guys, as you might expect from the title, are back for…

    Sweet Trailer…'Red Tails'

Well after the years of waiting for Lucas to release A. something other than Star Wars and B. Something other than re-releases of Star Wars, we get a first look at his WWII film Red Wing, I mean Red Tails. Geeze, this isn’t like Avatar but it seems like it took just as long in getting here huh? I guess we can say that good things are worth waiting for but then again I remember what happened last time we all got psyched up for a trailer. Still I’m staying optimistic as this is worth a look. Enjoy!   Red Tails is directed Anthony Hemingway from a story by George Lucas and…

    Sweet Trailer…'The Ides of March'

Just the thing to take our minds off the political/financial turmoil befalling our country; a politically heavy film about seedy side of the business. Is that a bad thing? Well not if it’s directed by and starring George Clooney it’s not. The story focuses on Ryan Gosling’s character who, as an idealistic staffer for a newbie presidential candidate, gets a crash course on dirty politics during his stint with the campaign staff. Have a look at the trailer via Yahoo…   The Ides of March is a political drama based on Beau Willimon’s play Farragut North. Hopping on this campaign trail are Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Evan…

    Sweet Trailer….'The Amazing Spider-Man'

I must start by saying that this all is incredibly too soon. But it’s not like anyone in Hollywood is going to listen to some cinebloggers on the net now are they? So we are where we are and despite the allegiance to Raimi’s universe Marc Webb’s crack at Spider-Man does look pretty slick. Still not sold on Garfield in the role…but everything else looks good. Have a look, won’t you? To watch more, visit tag Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) is at the helm for this reboot and as the “darker” tone has pretty much become a standard for comic adaptions these days we pretty much expected the…

    Teaser Trailer…'John Carter of Mars'

Director Andrew Stanton has been hard at work on his big screen adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ classic sci-fi novel A Princess of Mars and all the while we’ve been wondering how it was shaping up. Recently we’ve seen some concept images (after the jump), a lack luster poster but today we get our first glimpse of the world of John Carter. Admittedly its still rough and has a SyFy feel to it but it looks like it’s headed in the right direction. Well how would I know, I’ve never read the book:P Anyway, for your enjoyment, a look at Andrew Stanton’s live-action epic… Sporting a varied but still very…
