G-S-T Review…The World’s End
There are buddy movies, and then there are Edgar Wright’s buddy movies. Full stop. Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright are household names. But if they somehow don’t ring any bells, then you best stop reading now, get to know a brilliant little British show called Spaced, and get back to us. We’ll wait. The above mentioned trio of premier elbow ticklers have been making us laugh, heartily and repeatedly, for more than a decade…and it has all been leating up to this. The team that gave us Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz (and Spaced!) reunite to finish off their “Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy”, and they do so…

Video Interview…Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost Discuss ’The World’s End’
For more than a decade the three best friends that anyone could have, Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, have given us a steady stream of laughs, iconic buddy duos and endlessly quotable lines. In the third leg of their Cornetto Trilogy (or “Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy” if you prefer) the trio serve up fans a trifecta of pubs, pints and pandemonium in this final installment that quite literally goes out with a bang. The World’s End (click here to read our review) tells the story of five friends who reunite in an attempt to top their epic pub crawl from 20 years earlier unwittingly become humankind’s only hope for survival. G-S-T Trailer Roundup: Alien Conformity, Hot Guidos, & Psychotic Hobbits
So many trailers, so little time. Truthfully, enough teasers and preview clips have dropped this week that I could fill out three different roundups and still have some leftovers; sometimes, studios just want to inundate the web with their collective chunks of promo footage. Marketing’s gotta market, after all. The good news is that there’s so much to choose from that sheer variety alone makes the effort of gathering and watching each spot worthwhile (and if there’s one thing we appreciate here at Go, See, Talk!, it’s variety). Comic book flicks, retro sci-fi throwbacks, gruesome horror remakes; even a concert movie made the cut here, and that’s saying something, since…

Sweet Trailer…Edgar Wright's 'The World's End'
This year, barring some minor misfires, has been an outstanding year for films and it looks like things are only going to get better from here on in. Of the staggering amount of awesomeness coming down the pike in 2013 we’ve highlighted the films we’re most excited about and this Summer, between the comic book and sci-fi madness, we’ll finally get to see the final leg of Edgar Wright‘s so-called “Blood and Ice Cream” trilogy. We posted some still shots last year but the first trailer for Wright’s uproarious looking comedy The World’s End has just been released so have a look below… It’s a full on alien invasion threatening the planet and…

Ohhh, Look…New Stills From 'The World's End' and 'Jack Ryan'
This time of year we film fans usually do three things without fail – shake off the Winter cold, brave the hit and miss “dump” titles from all the major studios, and get ready for the most anticipated titles in the coming months. Well you’re on your own with the first two but we can help you out with the latter. We’ve already got delightful chills and smiles thanks to the impressive looking stills from Man of Steel, Kick-Ass 2 and The Wolverine but now here’s just a little more eye candy. First up is The World’s End, which stars co-writer and director Edgar Wright’ s usual suspects Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Martin Freeman who are joined Paddy…

G-S-T Review…The Adventures of Tintin
Editor’s Note: Go,See,Talk presents this review of The Adventures of Tintin as the debut entry from our guest contributing writer Andrew Crump (of A Constant Visual Feast). He’s going to be making some more appearances on G-S-T in the next few weeks so have a look at what he had to say about Steven Spielberg’s latest blockbuster and offer your thoughts below. While watching The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, you can feel Spielberg grinning happily on the other side of the camera. It’s a welcome quality; adapting Hergé’s beloved comic books to screen in the first of a planned series of films with collaborator Peter Jackson seems to have brought out the…

Sweet (UK) Trailer…'The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn'
While I wasn’t really sold on the last few trailers for The Adventures of Tintin this one does look really sweet! Partially I think I was just trying to avoid as much Tintin as possible but with a video this great how could you not watch, right? Below is the UK version that proves once again that some of the coolest adversting campaigns are used across the pond. Well, no matter, thanks to the Internets you can bask in the same glory as our UK friends. So batten you hatches and enjoy some Indiana Jones styled mo-cap fun in this new trailer for the CG Spielberg/Jackson epic… Video: MSN Exclusive: The Adventures…

G-S-T Review…Attack the Block
Editor’s note: This review was originally published on July 22 but has be re-posted to coincide with its U.S. theatrical release. Kids these days, I tell ya. If they aren’t talking back to adults and breaking all the rules, they’re carrying weapons and saving the planet from aliens. Wait…you wanna run that last part by me again? No, you read it right, Attack the Block is a fun, frightening film that pits 5 wanna-be hoodlums from South London against alien creatures that are literally falling from the sky. From the mind of Joe Cornish (long time Edgar Wright collaborator) comes this entertaining flick full of frenetic aliens, foul-mouthed Brits, friendship, fighting and tons…
