Sam Raimi‘s original Evil Dead is getting an overhaul from one Fede Alvarez. Based on the buzz from NY Comic-Con and the insanity of this teaser trailer, it looks like this might impress all the naysayers…like every. single. one. Now necessity of remakes are subjective and an argument best held elsewhere because today we’re just giving the facts; yes it’s happening and yes it looks good (the latter being the main reason we’re posting it). Then there’s the little added bonus of this getting the seal of approval from Raimi, but we’ll get to that. For now, enjoy!! FYI, it is gruesome so beware!! In the much anticipated remake of…

Vintage Litwak's Arcade Game Commercials From Disney's 'Wreck-It Ralph'
Back at D23 (and then again for San Diego Comic-Con) Disney unveiled the promo arcade game of Fit It Felix Jr. to promote the upcoming computer animated film Wreck-It Ralph. Then a few weeks ago they released one of their fun vintage trailers as if the actual game existed in the 8-bit arcade era. But as Fit It Felix Jr. is just one of the many games (some real, some made up) in the film, Disney has gone the extra mile and created fake trailers for each of the main games featured in the film. Anyway, the trailer for Hero’s Duty (the Halo inspired game that plays a role in the…

Sweet Trailer…'Tai Chi Zero'
Making waves at the Toronto International Film Festival and surprising lots of genre fans at Fantastic Fest (check out our review) is the insane martial arts flick Tai Chi Zero. A bizarre hybrid of traditional kung fu films (brilliantly choreographed by Sammo Hung) and video games that you have to see to believe. It’s wacky, it’s funny, it’s all kinds of wow and perfect for the ADHD crowd as evidenced by the trailer. Have a look and let absurdity and awesomeness of Tai Chi Zero begin… If that was a bit off putting take a look at the more toned down but impressive first trailer… In the film, the first in a planned series, Yang travels to Chen…

Sweet Trailer…'Jack Reacher'
When it comes to action, Tom Cruise isn’t known for playing by the rules. As an operative, agent, even a vampire, he’s known to put the hurt on someone. So when justice needs to be done, he goes full on vigilante. We got just a taste of the bad-assery to come this Winter in the teaser for Jack Reacher, but now we get an deeper and more incendiary look at this story…Enjoy!! When a gunman takes five lives with six shots, all evidence points to the suspect in custody. On interrogation, the suspect offers up a single note: “Get Jack Reacher!” So begins an extraordinary chase for the truth, pitting…

Sweet 2nd Trailer…'Django Unchained'
It’s tough to believe it’s been 4 whole months since we got our first look at Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained. Well they say that good things are worth waiting for because this trailer is all kinds of awesome. Featuring QT’s razor sharp writing and some of the finest acting talent on the planet, this looks like the movie to beat this year (sorry Hobbit) and will make one helluva Christmas present. No more talk…enjoy!! Starring Oscar-winners Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Oscar-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio this follow-up to Inglourious Basterds can be expected to be equally saturated in great writing, superb acting and memorable characters/exchanges. Oh, man we can’t wait for this!! The Weinstien Company and Columbia Pictures have Django Unchained (“the D is silent“) scheduled to hit…

Sweet Trailer…Disney's 'The Lone Ranger'
It seems that no studio is without production/financial/creative woes. We heard about the long struggle to get Skyfall up and moving and for the past year we’ve been heard similar stories about the roller coaster ride that was the production of Disney’s The Lone Ranger. Snagging some great talent like Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer, but also hitting some financial snags, the film pushed on. So here we have the first real glimpse at the world of the Ranger and it looks solid. Enjoy!! Directed by Gore Verbinski, this film finds Johnny Depp reunited with his fellow Pirates of the Caribbean alum as he stars alongside Armie Hammer star as the titular hero.…

Sweet (Red Band) Trailer…'Movie 43'
What is this? The ABC’s of Comedy? Well for 4 years now a little project called Movie 43 has been in production and this is the first taste of the off-the-wall humor we can expect. The ensemble comedy boasts a plethora of major league talents and directors doing what they do best; make us laugh. But this isn’t your father’s late night/gross out comedy movie, these guys are really going for it. Kind of hits you by surprise seeing the caliber of talent going to such raunchy levels of comedy but still funny as hell. Wow…just how many stars can you cram into a film like this?? Well have a…

Sweet Teaser…'Stand Up Guys'
It goes without saying that Al Pacino and Christopher Walken are titans of the film industry. Hard edged and gritty actors who earned their stripes (and our respect) decades ago, they really are the stuff of legend. So while admittedly they’ve lost a few steps it’s always good to see their faces especially when getting back to their roots. Walken has taken to having a laugh at himself but sadly Pacino just gets laughed at (roles in Gigli and Jack and Jill don’t help much) although his stage career has flourished. Hopefully this story about these aging criminals, one of whom has been hired to kill his friend, will be a film they…

Sweet (Final) Trailer….'Wreck-It Ralph'
Not since the first Expendables have we been this excited for a film to be released. Let me clarify, that’s anticipation of the film mind you, not satisfaction with the end product. While all signs point to this being a much better outing than Sly’s action opus, it pays to have just a little reserved optimism. But who are we kidding. We can’t freaking wait for this!! And we will probably be giving away advance screening passes so stay tuned for that! So if you weren’t already fully on board, have a look at the final trailer for Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph. How bout that huh?? There’s a lots more fun in this…

Sweet Trailer…'Smashed'
While we’re used to seeing Aaron Paul as a character who is that is less than savory, Mary Elizabeth Winstead gives us a head-turning role in Smashed. Here Paul and Winstead play Kate and Charlie, a married couple who share a fondness for music, laughter and getting smashed. Yet as excess leads down a slippery slope of hard-core asocial behavior, Kate’s elementary school job becomes compromised. She learns that change isn’t exactly a cakewalk and sobriety will have her confronting the lies she’s been spinning at work, her troubling relationship with her mother, and the nature of her bond with Charlie. With a magnetic trailer like this (and it being Sundance’s…
